Optimal functionality pairs with top form in the SE 18 Foldable Chair, a paragon of minimalism’s potential to meet the most demanding of spatial requirements. Designed by Egon Eiermann in 1952, the solid folding chair constructed from beech wood is steadfast while in use, yet requires very little storage space. These attributes saw the design swiftly gain representation at New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 1953, the College of Design in Ulm in 1955, and the World Exposition in Brussels in 1958. SE 18 is available in natural beech and stained black.
